Product Description Hard anodized aluminum is one of the best heat conductors around when it comes to cookware. It also heats evenly, so food cooks at a steady pace, wherever it's location in the pot or pan. Dupont Autograph 2 has been restaurant tested by professional chefs and has been found to surpass standard non-stick coatings both in performance and durability. This cookware is coated inside and out with Autograph 2 which makes cooking without added fat very easy, and which also makes cleaning up a snap. The handles are comfortable and securely riveted and the glass lids allow you to monitor cooking without loss of flavor, heat, or nutrients. This piece is equipped with a special straining lid and pour spouts, making it ideal for cooking vegetables and potatoes, and even pasta. The straining holes on one side of the lid are small, and are larger on the other side, offering maximum versatility.

A great pasta pot May 13, 2007 L. K. Richardson (Sacramento, CA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure I'd like this pot all that much, but now I don't think I can live without it. Being deep, it's perfect for boiling pasta for two, and by using the lid to drain, you can add all the rest of the ingredients and toss it right in the pot, then serve. Yet when the lid is set not to drain, it is heavy and tight enough you can use it to steam cook rice as well. The silicone handles on the pot and lid are a very nice touch.
Anolon 3-1/2 quart April 7, 2007 R. A. Witkowski 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I love this pot. I'll admit the strainer feature can be difficult with regard to stability during twisting motion, but the stainer function of the lid (has both large and small holes) is hard to beat. An absolute number one necessity for mac and cheese!
Loved it so much I bought another June 25, 2007 Branham (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I now have 2 of these strainer pots. I rarely use the strainer lid, but it is a nice feature. The pot heats evenly and quickly. Food comes right off of the non-stick surface. For some reason this 3 quart strainer is less than its 2 quart counterpart. A great buy, you won't be disappointed.
I love it November 14, 2006 Sam&Shays Mom (B'ham, AL United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this pot as part of a set given to me at my wedding 3 years ago. I use for everything from pasta to sauces to vegetables. The size is perfect for my 4 person family. It can be heavy when full of water, but I love being able to strain right through the lid instead of dealing with a separate strainer. In fact, I am asking for another one for Christmas since I have often needed 2 of these when cooking.
Good for the price March 7, 2009 JLower 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This pot is slimmer than a lot of saucepans but it's a bit taller. The material is thinner, so the pot doesn't weigh as much as the commercial grade version. The lid doesn't lock, but most people should figure that based on the price. Straining can be difficult but easily solved by leaning the pot against the edge of the sink over a potholder so it doesn't slip. It's a good pot for the price, non-stick, tall, handle is sturdy.
