Made of 18/8 stainless steel, this set offers three cooking options in a single package. There's an 8-quart pot for simmering stocks and soups and cooking stews, an 8-quart colander that fits inside the pot for cooking and draining pasta, and a 2-1/2-inch-deep basket that also fits inside the pot for steaming vegetables and fish. A domed lid with an adjustable steam vent completes the set. The pot, lid, and a band around the top of the colander where it protrudes from the pot are all polished to a mirror finish, presenting a uniform exterior. Hollow handles on the pot and the colander stay cool on the stovetop. Both the colander and the steamer nest inside the pot for compact storage.
