Perfect for under $200 October 6, 2009 Shawn Mullins (Morris Plains, NJ USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The knives are extremely sharp when they arrive. The most important thing is that you keep the knives sharp with the sharpener provided or the like. Forged steel is not a problem for me as others have noted. For what you get for the price, I don't think you can beat it.
Great Knives January 27, 2010 J Barr 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After reading reviews about several brands of knives, I went with Wusthof. Great choice! My husband, who is a great cook, says these are the best he has ever used. Be careful though, they are really sharp!
Great Knives April 6, 2010 Michael Broadston (Phoenix, AZ USA) It has been a long time since I had a set of good, sharp knives. After reading reviews around the net I decided to try the Wusthof and am very impressed. These feel well balanced in my hand and the grip works well for me. I must say that it took a bit of getting used to having a knife this sharp again and they make me want to go out and cook more. Bottom line, a great set of knives at a very good price.
love these knifes! Easy to use and sharp as japanese sword July 18, 2010 E. Pronina (Houston, TX) When my husband and I were looking for a set of good-quality knifes (not exceeding $200 price range), we went to a department store and looked at many different sets. After doing the test and a little bit of research on other customers experience, we decided on Wusthof. The handles are comfortable and knifes are really-really sharp - that's about all we need from knifes.
Awesome Knives September 2, 2010 Chris Beautiful knife set, cuts through anything I can throw at it like a charm. I also put one knife in the dishwasher without thinking about, it survived but I would not recommend doing so on a regular basis (came out with water marks on it).
Only downfall is that three pieces of the knife set are not knives (the block, scissors & sharpener) so you may need to go out and get another knife or two to really complete the set (I personally bought a 7" Santoku ($50 on Amazon)) to really round out the set.
