This Cookware Deep Fryer 6 Quart In Hard Anodized Aluminum (95099) by MIU France is great for fast and even heating. The 6-quart capacity makes it ideal for frying chicken, French fries, egg rolls and halibut. This deep fryer includes a wire basket and a mesh lid. The wire basket makes it easy to lift up the finished food. A side hook allows you to rest the basket on the side of the pot, so that excess oil can drain back into the pot. The mesh lid allows the steam to flow out through the lid and not back into the food or oil. The mesh lid also keeps hot oil from splattering onto the cooking range. To clean, hand washes the pot with warm water and soap. Hard anodized aluminum should not be put in the dishwasher. The mesh lid and wire basket are dishwasher safe. The pot is measures about 11-inches deep and 8-inches in diameter and can also be used as a pot for cooking soup or rice when not being used as a deep fryer.

The pot is solid and the handle is very sturdy, everything appear to be a good quality built. I don't use the wire basket so do not know if it performs ok or not.
The conical shape of the pot is excellent for maximum heat transfer and the material is good for heat retention. The inner side wall is high (deep?) enough to reduce oil splash--having the lid also further this cause. The vented lid is an excellent idea for minimizing condensation--it worked!
Finally, the handles are excellent for supporting the weight of the pot, especially when filled with oil.

Excellent unit. Heavy, well made, and does the job perfectly. I would recommend this fryer highly. Until a few weeks ago I had an electric deep fryer (Euro Pro) that didn't do the job very well and just decided to die while I was making a home fish fry. No more electrics for me. Don't forget to get a thermometer if you don't have one.

Little to no splatter (of oil). Deep, large enough for multiple portions. Steel wire mesh on the lid allows the steam to escape, avoiding sogginess for the cooked product (i.e. fries come out crispy). A great cooking piece. Very stylish and appealing design.
P.S. Item's lid arrived with numerous slight dents (occurring during shipping?) due to poor packaging. No big whoop, but since it's a top piece it is noticeable and was somewhat annoying at first.

This was a wonderful deal- product was more than expected- great product! Have used it several times already and it works great and cleans up perfectly. Received the shipment in a very timely manner and the boxes and product were in perfect shape.

MIU cookware is actually very nice, photo can not tell too much, the stainless steel basket is all 18/10 and well polished, the body of each pot is very thick and the bottom of the pan heat up very fast and even with no brown spot. Handle is just the right size. ( the one that we received actually had a much better looking polished stainless steel handle instead of the photo shown ) Thick handle nice to hold the pot around. I will recommend this to any friends and family. A true 5 stars product with a great price. You will not disappointed with. Enjoy ! This is one of the MIU original designed product. Good job !
