WOW! November 28, 2008 C. Morfeld 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this pan to make more than two layers of lasagna - no other dish/pan was deep enough to accomplish this. I was able to get four layers in this! Be prepared for A LOT of lasagna, however. I used two boxes of pasta, 6 jars of sauce, over 3 pounds of meat, and 16 cups of cheese. All of this did not quite reach the top of the pan, so there was no bubbling over (another added bonus). Clean-up was great; it soaked in soapy water for about an hour, then wiped clean. No scrubbing needed, even for broiled-on cheese.
Great shiny pan! November 30, 2008 Anastasia Ensminger (Danville, VA USA) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Pan is very deep and perfect for lasagna, macaroni and cheese, or any other baked item. Clean up is a snap. Pan is lightweight and holds quite a bit. Didn't fit my turkey :( (but I got a very large bird). Look forward to roasting some meat in it with rack in place. Only difficulty - is that it is hard to get the handles flipped up with potholders on! Also, included spatula is good but flexible, so it may bend depending on your use. Overall, a great product for the price!
Great Lasagna Pan December 23, 2009 Douglas Schifter (Thornhurst, Pa. USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love this pan. It is a perfect pan for Lasagna. It is so deep, a National Geographic Survey Team couldn't find the bottom! If Patton's Third Army was coming over for dinner your only problem would be what to do with the leftovers. Seriously, The pan is Stainless and has no seams for easy cleaning and the thinness of the metal is ideal for baking Lasagna in that it speeds heating while in the oven. 18/10 Stainless is great for cooking on top of the stove but not necessary for the oven. You don't need the extra weight when lifting 20 pounds of Lasagna into or out of the oven. Be prepared for copious amounts of ingredients because this pan holds alot. 20 pounds is not unrealistic here although I have not weighed it. I did not come close to filling it with 2 pounds of meat, 3 pounds of ricotta, 2 pounds of Mozzarella and 1/2 gallon of sauce. The price is reasonable and the pan is made in China unfortunately like almost everything these days but it works anyway. It comes with a thin stainless spatula which is ideal for cutting and serving Lasagna and a rack for roasting meats. No need to spend 70-100 dollars for a ceramic deep dish for doing a Lasagna This puppy works just fine, I heartily recommend it.
Love it! October 16, 2007 iMom (Greenbrae, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a LARGE pan that can easily substitute as a roasting pan - and the drop-down handles allow it to fit in my *apartment-size* oven. Beautifully made and cleans up bright and shiny!
Perfect for lasagne (which is why I got it) February 14, 2009 Kristen Mathews (Derry, NH United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was looking for a nice stainless steel DEEP pan for making lasagne, this did the trick. Buyer beware, this is NOT thick, heavy metal. But, that isn't what I was looking for to make lasagne. This is nice quality, durable. Very happy with product/price. (about $32)
