I use these all the time in the kitchen - great for stir fry (doesn't scratch the pans), removing things from the toaster oven (no risk of being shocked), also good for serving salad from the salad bowl.

These tongs are made with bamboo and are thick and heavy. They do not look cheaply made and I cannot see that they have been glued together, so I dont think they will break at the apex. If they do, I will come back and post it. They are also longer than any of the other wooden tongs listed on Amazon, and fit perfectly down into my deep, over-sized toaster. No more burned fingers in my house! I have not used them for bacon or stir fry as mentioned by the other reviewer, but they look long and sturdy enough for those jobs too.

Great item! Can't live without these. I have toast every morning and don't like to reach inside the toaster to grab the english muffins. These are a lifesaver. Well made and reasonably priced.

I ordered three of these and when I opened package the first one broke in my hand at the apex when I touched it. I went through Amazon and they assisted me in contacting Lucca. I contacted them and they told me to send picture so they could see that it was broken which I did. I never had a reply after multiple attempts....not worth the money and never a replacement.
